Welcome to the series on weekly transits, out every Monday afternoon!
One of the most frustrating things I’ve learned as an adult is that we have a responsibility to communicate our needs, expectations and boundaries to other people, no matter how difficult it is. If we don’t, we’re effectively outsourcing that work to the people around us, requiring them to walk on eggshells to avoid hurting our feelings, or to accidentally step in it so many times that they simply stop talking to us. It sucks, but if we want to keep people around, it requires some degree of conflict.
If you’re walking around someone else’s yard and there are invisible electric fences haphazardly crisscrossing the property, how long before you just leave?
The transits for this week give us a great opportunity to learn these lessons first-hand.
On Wednesday, Mercury retrograde enters Leo. That weird, wild, and stressful situation you had a week or two ago? Yeah, it’s not over.
On the same day. Mars in Gemini transits conjunct Jupiter. This could mean overextend yourself until you’re at a breaking point, or the frustration you’ve been holding in finally blows.
On Friday, Mars will then go on to square Saturn in Pisces. Either you’ll reach that breaking point, you’ll set new boundaries, or the relationship be forever changed. Mars, which ran wild earlier in the week, finally hits a wall. The question is whether you want it to be a healthy guardrail you put in place, or a giant brick wall to splatter into face-first.
On Sunday, Mercury retrograde in Leo squares Uranus in Taurus, giving us a second chance at dealing with the frustration from earlier this month. With our new, healthy boundaries in place, maybe it will be different this time around. Maybe we can actually act like the rulers of our own kingdom. And that includes building our own damn walls.
